Summer Holiday Social Practice Report
“Everything must be only done then been understood profoundly, “Social practice has paid more and more important role for students who had been stayed schoolyard for class studying. The distance to the society is not far away since we entered the university. And our school developed summer social practices in order to expand our knowledge, enlarge our contacts with society, increase our personal experience in the social competition, and improve our ability to handle the problem. I learned a lot in the much than in the classroom and broaden my horizon. Grasping book knowledge only goes so far for me as an English major student, because we need more practical exercise. I do think it’s a good idea to have an internship in some high schools or foreign trade corporations on the basis of my major.
As for me， I chose my alma mater as my internship during the summer holiday and I stayed there for two weeks. Honestly, my job was too easy to know my career planning. I had classes with high school students, made notes carefully as well. Then, I finished my homework earnestly like others. The heaviest task was read documents with remarks.
I became unsatisfied gradually. So I told my teacher directly that I need more hard tasks. To my surprise he refused my claim and asked me to wait and observe. I listened to him and did as he said. Soon I found although I was a sophomore and passed CET6, I still need guidance with knowledge of high school. I always found the mistakes they made were my mistakes too when I read over their papers. Finally I knew the reason why my teacher asked me to observe and think over, I tried my best to teach and tutor them when they turned me for help.
One of my teacher said that my major was a pretty choice because there were a lot of countries and corporations need talents of English. And apparently economic globalization is closer and closer to us. As long as study by heart in the
four years of university, I will be able to make great progress.
As it knows that it’s a toilsome thing to learn language. There is no direct way to
success without remembering all the words and grammar, besides, it is more important to have good spoken English.
The most important is social practice. Our focus is now on the more challenging ambition of getting ourselves to take up several hours English. It is a meaningful thing for our university student to exercise ourselves full enough, accumulate experience and grow up with practice in the society.
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with single step”, it was an important experience and a bridge to go to the society of that internship. It also has a very great help to be going to work in the future. We need to earnestly implement the principles in real life seriously such as humbly waiting other people’s help, abide by the discipline and unit’s rules and regulations.
Work is very different from study. Work needs more practice and experience from all aspects; the more you do, the more difficulties you might encounter, which then come to be your own experiences. One has to pay for success. Most of my experience and knowledge from the teaching of my leaders and teachers at that time, it is a precious wealth in my life. That practice also let me understand deeply that keep good relationship with our colleagues in the work is very necessary. It is a basic problem how to get alone with people in modern society. Learn to be a decent person before learning how to do things.
For me who is about to enter society, needs to learn a lot of things. What I need to learn and remember is the best teacher. Is the so-called "company, thus, we can learn a lot of knowledge and truth to them. Like The Old Saying:” 'three-line, it certainly has to be my teacher”.
