robert lee frost
by june our brook's run out of song and speed.
sought for much after that, it will be found
either to have gone groping underground
(and taken with it all the hyla breed
that shouted in the mist a month ago,
like ghost of sleigh bells in a ghost of snow)---
or flourished and come up in jewelweed,
weak foliage that is blown upon land bent
even against the way its waters wnt.
its bed is left a faded paper sheet
of dead leaves stuck together by the heat---
a brook to none but who remember long.
this as it will be seen is other far
than with brooks taken otherwhere in song.
we love the things we love for what they are.
有如神异的雪中雪橇铃飘似鬼魂;
要么返回地上把凤仙浸润;
无力的树叶向坡岸躬身;
励志英语诗歌朗诵：a house of cards
christina georgina rossetti
(1)
a house of cards
is neat and small;
shake the table,
it must fall.
(2)
find the court cards
one by one;
raise it, roof it,
now it's done;
shake the table!
that's the fun.
房已盖好;
励志英语诗歌朗诵：song of the master and boatswain
wystan hugh auden
at dirty dick's and sloppy joe's
we drank our liquor straight,
some went upstairs with margery,
and some, alas, with kate;
and two by two like cat and mouse
the homeless played at keeping house.
there wealthy meg, the sailor's friend,
and marion, cow-eyed,
opened their arms to me but i
refused to step inside;
i was not looking for a cage
in which to mope my old age.
the nightingales are sobbing in
the orchards of our mothers,
and hearts that we broke long ago
have long been breaking others;
tears are round, the sea is deep:
roll them overboard and sleep.
我们喝酒不挑地方;
大家上楼结对成双;
尽管她们向我张开臂膀;
一只只全都哀哀歌唱;
还总让别人痛断肝肠;
