yes! this is the five four great patriotic movement.

大家好!我叫，很荣幸能够在这个特殊而富有深刻含义的时刻，上台演讲发言。
90年前的五月四日，3000多北京学生高呼“外争国权，内惩国贼”、“取消二十一条”、“拒绝在合约上签字”等口号，掀开了中国革命的新篇章。这既是一场影响深远的伟大的爱国运动，也是一场深刻的思想解放的运动和新文化运动。
是的!这就是伟大的五四爱国运动。
在这场波澜壮阔的革命青年运动中，爱国主义精神同科学、民主精神凝聚为一体，共同创造了既有深刻内涵、又有鲜明时代特征的“五四”精神。“五四精神”是中国青年强烈爱国热情的体现、是一种追求进步的精神、是一种不畏艰难，顽强斗争的精神、它是革命前辈们，给我们留下的一笔中华民族宝贵的精神财富-----爱国、进步、民主、科学。
然而培根曾经说过：“青春是易逝的，你挥霍它，时间也会抛弃你。”作为新世纪的青年，是我们最先触碰时代的前沿，也是我们，心跳牵动着民族的脉搏。
作为新世纪的大学生，我们要树立远大的理想。
人的一生只能享受一次青春，当一个人在年轻时就把自己的人生与人民的事业紧紧相连，他所创造的就是永恒的青春。我们要坚持勤奋学习，立志成才。二十一世纪，信息交流日益广泛，知识更新大大加快。形势逼人自强、催人奋进。我们要跟上时代步伐，更好地为现代化建设贡献力量就必须学习学习再学习，打下坚实的知识功底。我们要善于创造，在学习中要善于创新，善于实践，善于把所学的知识运用到改造自我、提高自我中去，不断成才。
我们要注重锤炼品德。优良的品德对人的一生至关重要。在全社会提倡诚信、讲究文明的今天，已经成为知识分子的青年大学生们更应该树立正确的世界观、人生观、价值观，树立起正确的名利观，努力培养良好的品德，提高综合素质，完善人格品质，做有益于祖国和人民的人。
国家的繁荣富强、人民的富裕安康、社会主义制度的巩固和发展需要几代人，十几代人甚至几十代人的努力。艰苦能磨练人，创业能造就人。青年一代的我们，只有做到勤俭节约、艰苦奋斗，才能顺应时代发展的潮流，才能真正地做到把个人的前途和命运与国家、民族的前途和命运紧密相结合。同人民紧密相结合，为祖国奉献青春，这是当代青年最嘹亮的口号，我真心地希望，这不仅仅是口号，更是我们青年一代的旗帜!
在这里我代表全体同学向学校、向老师保证：在以后的学习、工作和生活中，我们一定牢记历史的教训，不忘使命，大力弘扬五四精神，发扬爱国热情，牢固树立远大理想，将爱国心化作报国行，不断追求知识的更新和素质的完善，争当五四精神的红旗手，为国家的繁荣昌盛贡献自己的力量!
