Dear Mr. and Mrs. Smith,
How’s everything going? It’s been almost a week since I left America and I miss you very much.
During the winter holiday, you took good care of me. Your love made me feel at home. Besides, you showed me around New York and the visit to Times Square was great, which left me a good memory and helped me learn more about American culture. Thank you very much.
I hope you’ll come to China one day and I’ll take you to the places of interest in Beijing. I am looking forward to your reply.
Yours,
Li Hua

Last Monday, my father said goodbye to my mother and me and went on a business trip. He would be away for three days. Just the next morning I found my mother wasn’t feeling well. She had a cold. I immediately went to get her some medicine and then prepared some noodles for her. With my special care, my mother recovered quickly. When my father came back home, my mother told him what had happened. He praised me for what I had done. I feel very happy that I have done something for my mother.

Dear Jim，
In your last letter, you wanted to learn something about the extracurricular reading in our school. Frankly speaking, the situation is not so encouraging. In fact most students seldom read outside class.
The reasons behind are various.First of all, quite a lot of students are burdened with too much homework.Still others haven’t formed such a habit of reading. I think it is quite necessary for the students to take up reading, and teachers should limit the amount of our homework so that students can have enough time to enjoy reading.
Best wishes!
Yours，
